Charitable Giving Policy

Kinks & Quirks, LLC is very proud of the level of philanthropic work we do within our community...typically donating and fundraising approximately $10,000 annually. Over the years, we have supported many charitable and civic organizations, through volunteerism as well as both with cash and in-kind contributions. We have also conducted fundraisers at our store locations for such organizations as the Humane Society and Beyond Boobs, among others. We remain committed to building ties with the community and do our absolute best to continually increase our level of charitable giving. Please understand that we cannot honor every request for donation. If you are a philanthropic organization and desire a contribution from us, we ask that you first review the guidelines below.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A DONATION YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST IN WRITING. Donations will not be discussed over the phone. You can e-mail us or send a letter to 1430 High Street #709 Williamsburg, VA 23185 Attn: Charitable Donation Request.

Although we do not limit our giving to local organizations, we do give preference to organizations which support the local community in some fashion. Additionally, we give preference to organizations which are dedicated to the following activities/goals (in no particular order below):

  • Prevention of cruelty to animals, including the spaying and neutering of domesticated animals, and the placement of stray animals into caring homes.
  • Prevention / Education / Awareness of stroke and breast cancer.
  • Honoring and assisting our Veterans.
  • Preservation of the rights guaranteed under the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution.
  • Preservation of buildings, property, monuments or structures of historic significance, and the preservation and recording of local history.
  • Art & Music education and child development.

Our policy is to limit donations to organizations which have been recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are very open to creative ideas regarding cooperative events, fundraising, etc.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we ask that you kindly refrain from follow up calls. Thank you for your understanding and we wish you the best of success in your efforts.
